Senior Software Engineer (promoted Jun 2026)May 2024 – Present
- Lead a 4-engineer team on India Running (Flutter, 11 verticals, 141 screens, 0 to 30,000+ MAU). I set the technical roadmap, write and assign the specs, and review every merge.
- Sole owner of an offline-first, peer-to-peer check-in system that runs at live races. Hybrid logical clocks, version vectors and a deterministic reducer get around 20 devices to identical state with no central server, verified against a reference oracle under simulated packet loss, reordering, restarts and partitions.
- Built its reliability layer over raw UDP, then found and fixed two bugs that only surfaced in the field: frontier-gap starvation, where one dead device could permanently starve a healthy peer's sync budget, and clock poisoning, where a single wrong-clock phone would win every future last-write-wins comparison.
- Architected the real-time bib allocation engine for high-concurrency registration, using distributed locks and idempotent APIs around a cached next-available-bib pointer. Later diagnosed a silent data-loss incident in that same pipeline, where a double-triggered batch job left 343 of 2,347 runners without a bib: a missing idempotency check plus a swallowed range-exhaustion error.
- Root-caused a 6,000+ crash-report incident. Earlier code had collapsed 'no session' and 'session temporarily unreadable because iOS locked the keychain' into one state; separating them turned a false logout into a retry ladder.
- Shipped RunBuddy, an LLM running assistant with retrieval over event context: +51% weekly active users, +106% average time per user, +133% session duration.
- Led the full app revamp, a from-scratch rewrite of discovery, registration, bookings, profiles and organiser surfaces, with an auth-version gate that migrated every stale session and produced zero support escalations.
- Built the host side of the marketplace ('Spaces') from scratch, covering clubs, events, ticketing, add-ons, staff roles, guest lists and QR check-in, which turned a one-sided consumer app into a two-sided platform.
- De-risked automatic race-day GPS tracking in a prototype harness: a pre-warm foreground service on Android, and on iOS five independent wake channels rather than trying to keep a process alive for 24 hours.
- Designed a 698-event analytics taxonomy across every vertical and built the crash and performance stack around it. Also built the team's internal tooling, including an in-app network inspector with cURL export and Shorebird OTA, which cut hotfix turnaround from store review to minutes.

- Built the complete backend for the Bharti activity-tracking app, and bridged Flutter to native iOS and Android functionality.
